#How do I play Gamecube games with wiiflow?

To play GameCube games you will need to have Nintendont in your apps folder.
Download the .zip from here:
https://oscwii.org/library/app/Nintendont
Extract Nintendont.zip then copy its contents (apps and controllers folders) to the root of the same drive you keep your homebrew apps on.
With Nintendont installed, USB Loader GX or WiiFlow can now load GameCube games.

You can only play GameCube games from a SD or USB drive formatted to MBR FAT32 with 32kb or 64kb allocation unit size. You can use 64kb allocation unit size when formatting if the drive is larger than 64gb.
Dump your GameCube game using CleanRip:

GameCube games can be played on the Wii in NKit.iso or ISO (not NKit.gcz). NKit.iso takes up much less space and plays just the same so I recommend that. You can use the Nkit PC program to convert an ISO to Nkit.iso
Get Nkit by clicking Download button on this page:
https://gbatemp.net/download/nkit.36157/
Extract it to a convenient place on your PC.
You can then use GameCube Backup Manager to transfer the game to your drive. It can create the necessary folder structure and rename the files for you:
https://github.com/AxionDrak/GameCube-Backup-Manager
Otherwise do it by hand:
💾SD/USB:
┗ 📂games
┣ 📂GameName [gameID]
┃ ┗ 📜game.iso --note: this is LITERALLY game.iso, not the name of the game, or the game id, just game
┗ 📂GameName [gameID] --This example is for multi disc games
┣ 📜game.iso
┗ 📜disc2.iso
Note: the WBFS folder is for WII GAMES ONLY and the Games folder is for GAMECUBE GAMES ONLY
nkit.iso files should still be named literally game.iso
Do I need to use the Nkit application if I have Gamecube backup manager?
I recommend it yeah
GameCube Backup Manager cannot trim a game in a way that is reversible
Oh aight
I'll stick with the Nkit application then
Oh btw, I'm using the processing app if that's what I'm supposed to use
Yeah
Open NKitProcessingApp.exe then drag the game file(s) or folder into the window.
Select Convert to Nkit.iso. Click Process.
When it's done you'll find the game a folder inside:
..\NKit_v1.4\Processed\..\
Do I name the games Game.iso?
game.iso for every game yeah
here's how i name them after converting them to nkit.iso
make sure you have file name extensions enabled
otherwise you might end up naming your file game.iso.iso, which will cause issues
Ok
Wait It's asking me if I want to name the file "game.iso (2)"
I don't
What do I do
Do I name rename it after I put it into the folder
Just stuck at this part
Was I meant to cut it
I did that
Did u copy the file into the folder first
I don't see what's confusing
you can't have two files in the same folder named game.iso
These are all in the Gamecube matchfail folder
But my question is
Where am I supposed to put the other game.iso folder
I know I'm supposed to copy them into their named folders
Do I just delete the other game.iso
I'll leave this one to you lol
It's not hard
You should be aware of what the folder structure is supposed to be (scroll up if you forgot)
Move the files however you need to make it match
I think I found a solution, I'm just gonna rename the duplicate to something else and then change it back
I'm following this btw
I'll just name the Mario party 7 game.iso back to Mario party 7
Easy
did you ever figure this out lol
I have time to walk you through it on a discord call while you share your screen if you're still having issues.
Yeah I figured it out
Am I okay to close the thread
