Hi Guys, i have a wii console V. 3.2E (pretty old) and im trying to set it up for my kids.
I had someone jailbreak it for me many years back but i lost the hard drive i was using for it.
So i decided to do it again myself.
I tried the str2hax which i manage to complete but it comes to the screen that says 'This software must not be sold. neither alone nor as part of a bundle....... and it gets stuck there... (on a video guide for the same procedure, at this point it gives you the option to press 1 in order to start the program)
Im i doing something wrong? is there anything else i need to do? Is there a better way to do it?

so it hangs at the initial hackmii screen...
i'd suggest you update it to 4.3E (i think?), would be good to also make sure your console region is europe before doing that though (idk if it is recommended in that case though)
if you can, try doing the str4hax exploit again and if it doesnt work then you may want to attempt a different one

Maybe there is another way to update to 4.3E

depends what was modded and what settings were enabled
some homebrew things might get uninstalled though so idk
if you have priiloader/bootmii that'd actually be pretty good because you can simply disable the "Block Online Updates" thing
if you do have bootmii somehow installed, you should be able to dump your NAND and get backed up for the off chance that you somehow get the system messed up
but at the same time knowing your situation, i wouldn't be surprised if it was a modchip

ok guys... sorry ive been out a few days. i found an oldschool hack that i could use on V3.2E. the files is Wii Hack V.4 and its a boot that when you load it on a SD Card you can run it on your wii. It took me a few days to run it cause if you have version 3.2 or below your card reader cannot read SD cards more than 2GB, so i was looking for one.
I runned it and i managed to install homebrew channel on my Wii with V3.2E. now i will try and upgrade my software through homebrew channel cause you then can use bigger sd cards and other thinks which im still looking into.
Is there anything i need to be carefull from now on? i mean how do i back up my system in case i get bricked? im looking into all that now!!

bootmii will back up your nand if you ever need to restore it and priiloader can load before the system menu
