So a bit ago my disk drive sound like a meat grinder and the disk won’t go inside the Wii U. Luckily I somehow fixed the grinding sound but the only problem is that the disk won’t go inside entirely. Any suggestions?

No I haven’t use the disc drive in over 5 years

Yeah that’s a problem. There’s probably a frick ton of dust in your disc drive.

Try to open it up and clean it. Canned air generally works

You could try blowing it straight through the disc drive door but I doubt that will do anything

do not blow into the disc drive since it might "push" the dust inside. If you're willing to, open it, get a little portable vacuum cleaner to suck most of if after opening and then you clean it up with usual methods (IPA, change the thermal paste, whatever it needs)

but its still unusual for that much dust to be inside the wii U disc drive, even if it hasnt been used in 5 years

So... be careful when opening it, there might be something "more solid" than dust in there
