I currently use one 16gb usb stick and i heard that the wii kills the usb sticks, so what i want to do is switch to an 32gb sd and a 320gb hdd, is it possible to have all the roms and apps on the sd card and all of the games on the hdd? I am not interested in emulating other games then wii games.

USB flash drives that are "thumb sticks" ... of course since those are not made for so many reads & writes.
If you get a portable USB drive that isn't a thumbstick such as mine, (which I'll try to update an image of,) it will be fine.
