I am now trying to run the system check from wii.syscheck

novel cypress
#

if you are doing that, send the syscheck.csv file it creates on the root of your SD card

generally we don't recommend using video guides. a safe guide to use is https://wii.guide (for dumping nand to emunand, https://snare-hawk.github.io/emuNAND is my go to guide)

i dont have an sd card because my sd card slot doenst work anymore(idk why)

#

im trying to do it all via usb only

novel cypress
#

then you'd have to take pictures of the output

#

it's possible for sure, most people don't do it that way but it should work

turbid shoal
#

do you think its worth trying to fix the sdcard slot?

novel cypress
#

probably not, or at least for now

turbid shoal
novel cypress
#

that looks normal

#

are you using a flash drive by chance? and which port is it plugged into?

turbid shoal
#

yes im using a 4gb fat32 flash drive, i belive its called 0 port

#

the weird thing is the usbloader opens if the usb is on the port 1, although it doesnt detect the usb as an hdd

#

i can go grab an external sdd i have( do i need to clean it out? bcs it has 2Tb and has some stuff written )

novel cypress
#

if it goes to USB yeah that should work

turbid shoal
novel cypress
#

you shouldn't need to clean it out assuming it is formatted to fat32 using wii backup manager or GUIFormat

turbid shoal
#

should i copy the files over this usb or just download new ones

#

i also tryied formatting my wii but it didnt do much

#

welp, i tryed putting another ubs flash drive and my hdd and none of them appeared on the homebrew

#

development, formated my drive and it works fine aka i can enter usbloader again

#

another question
im a bit confused on how to put wii games, some say iso and nkit to wbfs others say wad

turbid shoal
#

bcs i didnt find any websites that downlowad to wsbf only nkit.iso or wad

barely beat me to it lol

turbid shoal
#

alright ty

north grove
#

wbfs stands for Wii backup file system, stuff installed onto a usb storage device (preferably hard drive)

i will try to download a game and get it running

smoky venture
#

nkit just isn't supported on Wii hardware for Wii games

turbid shoal
#

i am a bit lost in mario cube where are the games? Im in the wii folder

north grove
turbid shoal
#

ask for permission to google drive file
and i got this mail

north grove
#

follow all the instructions

turbid shoal
#

mb im dumb

#

😛

#

ive seen this in some games, what does revision mean?

smoky venture
#

Most games didn't get updates so if there was something a game dev wanted to fix they'd just use a new revision for any new games printed

novel cypress
#

well now Nintendo does pretty much the opposite but that's offtopic for this thread

turbid shoal
#

and just to be sure i can put this on the drive wbfs folder and go try it on the wii loader right?

smoky venture
#

Ideally you'd use Wii Backup Manager

#

That way it'd create the folder structure

turbid shoal
#

okay

#

ill try

#

im logging off now but ty for all the help i will try it again tomorrow

turbid shoal
#

I have to say guys
Gg its a success I managed to do it

turbid shoal
north grove
#

yes

turbid shoal
#

succes ty very much 🙂

turbid shoal
#

wiiGSC gave me this error
redflag?
or just try it without the wad ?

#

it also said it was a banner file

smoky venture
#

You picked one of the two games that can brick your Wii

turbid shoal
#

ahaha lucky me

#

so i can play it via the usb loader right; also to create a usb loader wad to put in the wii do i use wiigsc?
