#Help With d2x cIOS Installer & other homebrew related issues
48 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
This thread is just for you
Don’t load it using the BootMii menu
got it however it was not showing up on my homebrew channel menu
i will check to see if anything is changed
and supply a screenshot
Here’s a tip - when installing homebrew applications on your SD Card or USB drive, your folder structure should look like this:
💾 sd or usb:
┣ 📂 apps
┃ ┣ 📂 AppName1
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 boot.dol / boot.elf
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 icon.png
┃ ┃ ┗ 📄 meta.xml
┃ ┗ 📂AppName2
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 boot.dol / boot.elf
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 icon.png
┃ ┃ ┗ 📄 meta.xml
AppName1 and AppName2 are placeholder names.
Do not nest multiple apps folders inside the apps folder itself.
Homebrew Channel will only show apps that use this folder structure
So you shouldn't have a d2x-cios-installer on the root of your SD
You can leave the wad files
And the Bootmii folder
so just for confirmation
i make a new folder on the root of my sd card then place the necessary files in that folder
hold on let me try to format the files like this
so i have a file named ciosmaps
do i keep that and rename the folder or do i delete that
ima put this screenshot of my 2dx files here
K this looks about right
No it doesn't lol
ok so what do i need to change
Is it the same screenshot
Yes lol
💾 sd or usb:
┣ 📂 apps
┃ ┣ 📂 AppName1
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 boot.dol / boot.elf
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 icon.png
┃ ┃ ┗ 📄 meta.xml
┃ ┗ 📂AppName2
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 boot.dol / boot.elf
┃ ┃ ┣ 📄 icon.png
┃ ┃ ┗ 📄 meta.xml
sry bout my well . . . everything
You're missing the apps folder
so do i copy and past the program files
and then make two adjacent folders in the apps folder
with that same file setup
it's really not that complicated
Like the file u downloaded came with an apps folder
U just needed to drag it onto your drive
mind you this is the first time i have manually installed wii homebrew. i know i am annoying but plz bear with me
