#DNS issues with Riiconnect

Hi,

I am having trouble connecting to Riiconnect as outlined in this guide https://wii.guide/riiconnect24. I have seen the section that says my ISP may be blocking the ability to change DNS, but I have Xfinity, and I curious to know if others can connect with this ISP. I changed the DNS addresses and when I go to the WiiConnect24 it loads the Wii agreement. I see:
on the 10.0.0.1 gateway for my Xfi
Primary DNS Server (IPv4):75.75.75.75
Secondary DNS Server (IPv4):75.75.76.76

and I see "Dynamic DNS" in the WAN settings for my Zyxel C300z.

I have an xFi Advanced Gateway (XB7) that I receive service through, but due to Comcast blocking the ability to change the mode of the wifi to 802.11b, I've connected a CenturyLink Zyxel C300z via ethernet through the XB7 and created another 2.4 GHz network (called Wii-fi ((so cute)) and gone through the whole softmod process with that network. I have been successful in everything except this portion of the process. I have noted that the DNS address has changed and I'm used the updated DNS numbers. Any ideas of how I can get Riiconnect up and running?

Greatly Appreacited,
ATA

Xfinity is a pain with connecting legacy devices to their routers so i just used my Windows PC HotSpot and connected it that way.

Using Ethernet of course.

I have a mac, and I was trying to use the DNS server program with no success, any ideas?

Do you have hotspot on the Macintosh?

Just looked it up, you can, but the computer needs to be connected to ethernet to share over wifi, and I don't have an ethernet plug on my macbook. Hmm

#

Are there other settings for the secondary router I'm using that I could try or does it not matter because it's getting its signal ultimately from the Xfinity router?

A secondary router should be alright. That is basically what the Macintosh or Windows PC is there for.

#

Make sure the secondary router is using WPA-2 PSK (AES) on the 2.4ghz band with b/g enabled.

#

And use the Xfinity router as a gateway.

@last oar I did buy one and it wouldn't work, I thought for sure that would be a work-around. Couldn't get a successful connection
