After doing some testing with ring shields, I found that the strongest weakness is that EMPs, even very small ones, absolutely destroy them considering that a single segment only has 100 health, with an EMP susceptibility of 60%.
This is a huge drawback for an already weak defense mechanic that takes up a ton of space. The extra tiles required to encase it in rubber doesn't really make it viable when the much portable and stronger shield projectors exist.
I think they should go the way of laser segments where they're immune to EMP damage, but still suffer negative effects from EMP.
