The ONLY difference between image 1 and image 2 is which radiator has its bottom side connecting to the other, which should not make any difference (at least that's what one might think =/)... yet in image one it doesn't connect but it does in image 2
Same thing occurs with 3x3 Radiators =/

in the 2nd image with the smalls, the one on the right is connecting because the one on the left is connecting to the one behind it which is connecting to the one above it, radiators just connect using the sides which means you can basically spin them
they just cant use the front or back connections

you can connect the bottom of a new radiator to the side of an already connected one, but you can't connect the side of a new radiator to the bottom of an already connected one
basically the bottom side of a radiator can only be an incoming connection

if you have a radiator connected to somewhere, you can add infinite amount of radiators
