#Fuel engine sound design rework

The Abrams is a bad example (that would be a CJE with 100% power setting)
The abrams is definitely an odd one out but i agree with the post - and the abrams turbine is a pretty sci fi ish sound, fuel engines should have it as a treat
I really want this feature
I do somewhat agree about giving sound options.
And mandatory, abrams has a turbine, but also I'd note that the ship example here is a tiny motorboat, not actual marine diesel.
The engines in the game can be assumed to be supposed to be marine engines (you know, the part where a single cylinder is a meter in size), and looking into those briefly I noticed they're surprisingly quiet.
Well, quiet may not be the right, but they don't make revving or other car engine sounds, but more of a constant noise, and most of it doesn't sound like it's coming from the cylinders. I would've assumed they'd be a lot more noisy before that too, so that was interesting to see.
depends who makes them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
bumop
A sound depending on the how the engine is built? Like a vanilla piston should have a sound, carbureted, supercharged and injected pistons too should have their own sounds.
I mean the fuel engine sound file is exposed. Just look at mods in the main game files
It sould be something like fuel_engines, just replace the sound with something of your choice though beware. The sound needs to be loopable
I can see the appeal of this, but wonder how much it would impact performance
