Or?
If a new DLC with new blocks would be to much to add to the main game, create a new Edition:
From the Depths: Space Edition or From the Depths (and then) To Space.
[The space edition would have many blocks removed like air and water related blocks]
Space DLC :
-Campaign and Adventure in Space.
-New space Factions or expand on Scarlet Dawn lore.
-Fight for Resource Asteroids to gain resource zones.
-No land, no air, no air resistance or drag, no water.
-Newtonian movement.
-Recoil exerts force on ships and change acceleration, speed and rotation. (crippled ships)
-New Spaceships (also for in the main game). Also see **Space DLC part II **
-A new Propulsion type: Rocket Boosters to complement Ion thrusters, gets added to main game as well
-New Material: Asteroid block. Hull block. Something fancy and special cross between stone/metal/crystal(glass)?
-Graviton gun or ray. Change weight of ship for propulsion and recoil effect. Heavy slow. Light strong recoil effects, min stability.
In main game with gravity on planets crafts would sink or plummet, fail to stay on the ground and loose traction/friction, fly/tumble higher
-Asteroid fields not too big in size with ample space in between to enter with big ships, providing cover and sensors cover (radar return)
-Anomaly spawns: [effects are just ideas and optionals]
May appear and disappear in Adventure. Strategic locations like Asteroid fields (visual better version of warp gates) :
-Gravity and anti-gravity anomalies : different strengths, pulls and pushes ships and fired shells, missiles that miss target (or pull off
curved shots. Curve laser beams?). Reduced visual detection, light curved
-Energy and anti-energy anomalies : Energy does EMP damage over time by distance to crafts and missiles. Anti drains energy and reduces
RTG output. Reduces PAC/Laser damage. Natural ECM.
-Radioactive anomaly: Major sensor disrupt. Major heat source?
