Hello,

I have a windows 64 version of lmms. I try with both stable 1.2 and Alpha 1.3.
My akai mpk mini mk3 is proprely detected by lmms.
I can use the mini keyboard without any issue.
But I am not able to affect correctly a knobs to an lmms controller.

When I do
Right click on a knob or slider or button and you have a "Connect to controller" option, then move the physical knob you want it to respond to, and done.

I am able to switch between the minimal and maximal values of the controller ; a kind of "on/off" signal.
I am not able to control the knobs with the mouse or to set any intermediary values.

Have you ever manage to make knobs work with an akai mpk mini mk3 ?
I found severals video and tutos for the akai mpk mini mk2 ; but none for the mk3 (knobs have been improved in this last version).

Let me know if you manage to do so ; or if you have any advice.
Regards
paul

Do not think you are supposed to. What you should be able to do is to connect to an automation-track so you can draw (or record) the progression you want the physical dial to have. Afair (i dont own a keyboard) that is how it is implemented.

Hello musikBear, thanks for your feedback. I was not clear, I try to get my knob working. Not just on and off. (

I figured out. Knobs of the AKAI MPK mini mk3 are endless. They can work in absolute (you broth a range of value, typically from 0 to 127) or relative (increase or decrease the current value) ways.

To use AKAI MPK Mini mk3 knobs in lmms, you have to set your knobs to absolute. This can be done with the software : Akai MPK Mini III Program Editor.
