not in general, but in this arrangement. this arrangement tries to be dissonant and slowly become quite harmonic, but in original piece there was no b9 in the diminished chord

I am not good enough with chord recognizing to know where exactly the b9 is, but I assume it is the chord in the beginning. I think it is fine, but it is ultimately your artist's decision how dissonant you want it to be.

I really liked the melodies later in any case.
