I see 2 main problems in artillery balance: 1. Colonial 150mm has only one small advantage over warden one, and losing in all other stats dramatically 2. Warden 150mm is just better 120mm, when 150mm techs you basically have no reason to use 120mm
So first colonial 150mm should or have another advantage, for example rate of fire or accuracy, OR increased range on another 100-150m so slow fire rate, bad accuracy and no shields are justified
Second warden 120mm and 150mm should be more different, so in some situations its better to use 120mm over 150mm, and other way around. Something like ability to shoot with 120mm from train carts... can't think of anything else to be honest

Also i think both sides should get emplaced and towed 120mm, asymmetrical of course, colonial emplacement should have longer range, and warden towed arty should have better fire rate

Some people just be lying for 0 reason

#

The thunderbolt at max range literaly hit nothing

restive saffron
#

well... exalt is 300m range with 200m window, thunderbolt with 350m range and 150m window...

Max range of thunderbolt

You can name other “assymetrical” advantages

Yet say the Outlaw is the best tank in the game because it has the 5 meter extra range

#

Or did

Ah better

Anyways basically the Hubart is better in every way except for that range, and it doesn’t matter how accurate you are if the enemy can fly shells farther

#

And hit you when you can’t hit them

cursive scroll
#

Only 1 in 16 shell of your will hit them at max range

#

1 in over 2 minute

restive saffron
#

its cool, but what about 120mm balance?

cursive scroll
#

So once fighter tech, you cannot use koronide anymore

restive saffron
#

ok, and then what about thing that is even lower?

cursive scroll
#

What?

Issue with range is that 120 already doesnt realy do a lot of damage

#

So you are already kinda forced into firing at medium or min range, but against t2 howie its good

#

But good changes

restive saffron
#

so we need something to be worth shooting at max range?

cursive scroll
#

Yeah, howiter t2 have short max range so people shoot at them at max range usualy

#

Against howie t3, anything but like 600+m range on your gun doesnt realy matter

#

next time i need to bring all numbers...

What if they turned it into push artillery and made it towable? I’d like that for the sake of keeping the pattern, change its other stats appropriately, make it so that you can anchor it.

restive saffron
#

or lariat?

wintry flax
#

And you of all people should know they always just bring more guns

cursive scroll
#

While wasting an absurd ammount of 150

#

So no, max range is not good

#

It would take you over 2 minute of firing with no one repairing the exalt to kill it

craggy tree
#

Ah yes 500m range 150mm

#

Totally what the game needs
