#Change the caliber Talos and Lordscar shoot (because 94.5mm sucks to balance)

94.5mm is horrible to balance due to it's 2x subsystem disable, and in my opinion should be fully reserved to battle tanks and super tanks. 75mm is a little bit less terrible but it does kind of kill anything it sees, so it should also be reserved for the heavy tanks.
As such, introduce two new calibers: 70mm and 72mm
70mm:
Damage type: explosive
Damage: 1250
Penetration modifier: 1.5x
Manufacturing: factory/MPF, crate size 3
Requires loader: yes
72mm:
Damage type: armor piercing
Damage: 1250
Penetration modifier: 2x
Manufacturing: factory/MPF, crate size 3
Requires loader: yes

This will make logistics a little big easier for those tanks, without being as abundant as 40mm/68mm.
This may seem stupid to add new ammo for just two tanks, but:
The devs have announced that after the next two update cycles, they plan to possibly advance deeper into armored warfare. Separating medium large calibers from large calibers reserved for battle tanks will make balancing so much easier in the future and would add a new plateform for it.

Not sure if more ammo is what logi man need.... but im not a logi man so take my upvote.

I agree that the calibers should be revisited but I disagree with your approach.

I would recommend using the armor tiers to change how the ammo interacts with different vehicles. Such as adding a new Tier 3 that you'd assign to BTs and SHTs, then you can balance the ammo specifically for those and have another set of stats for the rest.

Just make STD 75mm no LV.

Std then becomes a high DPS pve and pve tank

Filling the gap of wardens tank lines of no high DPS ranged tank

and yall still have the stygian

styg sucks anyway. its fine

styg is the most overrated weapon in the game

#

styg is just a tank crew intelligence check.

you die to it you failed the check

Stygian is countered by a single Harpa so I wouldn't really be complaining about it.

Or better yet a singular plane

If you make 14.5 good Vs heavy armour Vic's then the rifles become OP

#

If you balance 14.5 for rifles then we end up with the current situation

Cant you make it so certain characteristic are used by some guns and not others?

Where it's useless on Vic's

And then damage is adjusted by HV or LV modifiers

Well then yeah new caliber

The new 72mm caliber would add a between step that has similar stats to 94.5mm without the subsystem multiplier that makes it easier to balance medium vics using it (aka non-battle tanks)

# plush bone very instructive very useful thanks

Another option would be to introduce an imperial ammo system for the collies and keep the metric for wardens. But then add a bunch of different modifiers for different ammo types. All in the name of asymmetrical warfare. What could go wrong?😏😂

also don't forget to rechamber the dusk to .45 acp and it get way lower spread for the true colonial feel (a warden with a stolen dusk and the new buffed armour just walking down a trench line mowing enemies down)

wait could you hypothetically just have a warden (with their new armour buffs) just slowly walk down a trench line while a medic just pocket heals them from behind or smth?

For example, grenades or fire would definitely be interesting, the lmg probably would work too if it was stabilitised?
