Yeah, in fact, I know colonials always used to make vehicles with functionality in mind. Keeping in mind it is a tank destroyer, it makes sense to be shaped like that. Making it brownish would make it look much more like a colonial model

From all of my looking at 3d models, I don't think I've actually seen a significantly sized curved surface, even a low curve one, on any of the colonial combat vehicles.

but to move it has to move at least one leg. And altough triagles are very stable, I think the angle it will be in combined with the length of this lad, will make it able to only wiggle its way forward
quadruplets, although easier than bipeds, are still very hard to operate and require a certain design to be effective.
Having weight far from the centerpoint just creates a lot of momentum, and although you can balance it out, it is better to have a lot of weight close than a little weight far as getting unbalanced will make it topple over easier
I personally would go for 6 legs, or put the legs farther away from each other
but that is just from an engineering standpoint

my only nip-pick with this is they are equipped with rifles and not SMGs, shotguns and storm rifles. they don't even have bayonets!! rifles are an mid to long ranged weapon which struggles in close-quarters areas where shotguns' SMGs' storm rifles and hand throwed grenades have very few problems in.

the design was inspired by the pz 1 and the t 26, the main tanks of the republican and nationalist armys
there was also as you may guess a verdeja 1, but there is only pictures of it, and one chassis which was trasformed into an spg

@high ledge He was not the tank designer, he was the suspension designer.
Guy's name was John Walter Christie (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Walter_Christie) and that's from where the name of the suspension comes from, "Christie Suspension" which the Soviet BT and T-34 tanks were equipped with along with the British Cruisers like the Crusaders and Cromwells, that's also why they could attain such high speeds as well.
Another feature was that it would allow the BT series tanks to be driven without tracks, just on it's wheels like a normal car but it was later removed on the T-34 because they decided it was too complicated and not needed.
The US Army rejected his idea because of the amount of space it occupied in tanks and it's limited cross-country performance compared to the torsion bar suspension used on most other tanks during the war, namely the German ones.
