to be honest, while the ideas are quite old, as are the first small sketches (the ones in last community highlights.) I actually sat down and started doing them in somewhat better quality just now.
I guess you can say that seeing your art was the kicker for me to start drawing again.
the coincidence with themes (unit presentation) is unfortunate, but I believe there's enough differences in other aspects to avoid accusations of copying.

Funny how it was Suka that had round commander turret while Stug was all boxy.
Gameplay wise though; I assume these guns are more powerful than 40mm on Light tanks and probably have better range than 75mm on Battle Tank.
For that reason, I believe that MG turret on top is a bit overkill

With a seventy five milimeter cannon, it was more or less dedicated to hunting down other tanks at range. It's boxy shape was actually just another nuisance, because it was a much smaller target.
The problem is, with a STug, if you score a hit on it, a lot of the crew of the tank is scrunched up toghther.

Drawing circles in perspective is quite doable with the right technique
cannot find back that ref I made a while back, remember to semd it later
It is basically drawing a square in the plane you want the circle to be in, then get the diagonals of that square and draw points at 3/4 of each diagonal (1 diag = corner to middle), connect those points and the middles of the sides of the original square
You can then round stuff and voila
