@restive sandal rear actions/disruptive actions are only useful if they cause more disturbance then manpower cost. For example, laying tons of mines at random in the backlines makes everyone drive slower and more fearful. However if you only do it once, and the areas are cleared by "I drove here, its safe now", then they the impact is quickly lost.
If you can keep the fear alive, real or not, then you create a force multiplier and slow the wheels against whatever front your acting in.

@marsh tapir flak is still effective against CAS aircraft on their attack runs and helos. And it's often too numerous to simply take out beforehand like radar guided AAA. Check some histories of the first and second gulf air wars, they managed to get a few kills but also severely disrupted attack runs where they were allowed to.

I know the gulf, and yea they hit a few based on volume 😛 - but we also have evolved far past cannon runs for dealing with ground threats.
Non radar weapons will always pose a threat, but at 200-400km'h your going to be moving a bit quick to target without assistance.

I hadn't considered radar guided flak, I'm not exactly sure what the differences in capabilities are there, especially when you're mostly looking for disruption.
I'll grab a video that does a great job of breaking down what I was talking about - I misspoke for one, it wasn't CAS that was disrupted, it was bombing runs on infrastructure like roads, power plants, and airfields.
I know we've got outstanding long range guided munitions nowadays, but to my knowledge you can only drop them from ridiculous ranges if you have a ground spotter, but I could be wrong there.
The only thing unguided flak has going for it is sheer volume - there are so many guns, covering such a large area, that you can't possibly take them all out. Assuming your commander isn't a jackass and uses them to carpet attack vectors instead of aiming at individual planes, it could cause a serious issue.
That being said, I think their second greatest asset is that they're already lying around, so why not use them? I would never get flak AA if I were building an air defense system from scratch.

@atomic meteor yeah I saw the exact same video, plus all my experience from simulators and historical readings. you'll see in that video most of the hits or when they're going low, or they're flying into it. But for a first strike, or attacking something, it's pretty rare that it does any damage. By the time you know the enemy is there, they're gone before your AA can fire.
you'll see in that video that most of the Lost aircraft was basically flying too low or flying into already being fired munitions. As you noted.
cluster munitions would make short work of flak all over the place, but of course you can't do that when they're all sitting on roofs within a city.
But warfare isn't that easy, so you have to go in with infantry or use precision helicopters, laser guided or drones nowadays.
Anyways, not a huge deal. it's cheap and it works but you really don't want to rely on it. As you saw with all the sorties they only managed to dent a few, which means ultimately the air defense war is lost for them.

Starting from best to worst.
First and second are closely tied, because they’re basically the same flag but different colors.
Here’s #1 for me
Pros:
-looks amazing in general
-good symbolism with the flower, stars, the yellow star in particular
-good use of colors
-feels lively, which is hard to articulate
Cons:
-i worry that the magnolia flower in the middle won’t be visible from a long distance away.
Second place, you’ll notice it’s similarity.
Pros:
-see 1st place, above.
-The flower in the middle will remain distinct at a distance.
Cons:
-The contrast between the red and blue feels a little jarring? It’s a very strong contrast that doesn’t work well for this flag in my opinion
If 1st place was a 10/10 and 2nd was a 9/10, then 3rd would be a 5/10.
Pros:
-Keeps the symbolism with the stars, magnolia tree
-Text isn’t a prominent feature on this flag
-Good use of colors
Cons:
-Kinda a boring flag otherwise... not much going on, feels like a “seal on a background” flag.

-having the outline of your state/country/territory isn’t great for a few reasons, it doesn’t look amazing and it implies the land is more important than the people or anything. Not to mention, If your borders get changed (which while unlikely for a state, it must be a consideration), then you’ll need to change your flag.
-the flower here, the detailing is too much and it loses charm compared to the other magnolia flowers shown.
-the contrast between the red and blue is still present, and still isn’t good

-also, what’s the symbolism you’re trying to say when you put god above all else? Some people won’t like that, some people will. That could be controversial
