essentially it exacerbated the whole "spamming defenses" meta. where it was sort of meant to solve the issue of not being able to place defenses too far away from fobs but there weren't enough players to staff a whole font line. but in reality it just lead to enormous walls of foxholes/gunnests/ATurrets/sunkens/etc. while good in some people's eyes, it basically meant that to have any combat at all in foxhole you'd have to fight in the midst of AI defenses always shooting at you, which isn't great for engaging foot soldier gameplay unless you like plinking dozens or hundreds of rounds into gunnests all the time
so there's kind of a balance to be achieved with maintaining a cohesive line and also having a footsoldier gameplay friendly environment

a) a trench modification to turn it into a covered tunnel, something you'd use in bunker fort design and not frontlines unless needed for artillery shelter or something
b) a type of bunker or trench linkage that doesn't require a physical presence, not unlike the road connectors we have now in the devbranch, but would take up that bunker's "slot" for building something on like any garrison or other modification

Likewise, outside of the tunnel, you can't see the "tunnel" trenches

OP Valor has potential. I started following it a while ago. I just think they made a big marketing/branding misstep that can reflect negatively on them. It's really just a sign of studio immaturity and something they need to learn.
