I would say it might be kinda hard to learn just from the training in the home base; you might get the basics, but for the real experience, as someone here told me, go for the frontline itself

yeah i remember most of the old tactics, and used to do a lot of logi stuff. for me it’s not an issue of relearning everything, it’s making sure it’s not filled with toxic players.
i get it if there’s a few here and there, there’s no way around that. but i don’t want there to be griefers filling the front lines.

@plucky cypress game is very different now from prealpha days. Not many OG players still around. Community is full of yes-men, no-man and zoomers but the game is still breddy gud if you can accept all the changes or at least look past the ones you don't like. There are however still griefers and exploiters, you will see especially if you focus on logi and supplies, not so much if you are front line inf or builder.
I still think it's worth trying to game but don't try it during sale times, because you might mistake new players for trolls etc. Try it at full price and refund before the steam window closes then decide if it's for you

yeah i was thinking about doing family game share with a friend, seeing if it’s still similar to what i remember. honestly i like the newer updates, the game itself still looks great. but since it’s so community oriented, i’ll just have to try it for myself and see what it’s like. i used to love doing logi, and managed to ignore most of the greifers, so hopefully i’ll still be able to fit in.

guys i just had a great idea for a tool. what if we had some kind of hand held saw or grinder to get bmats from destroyed buildings and vehicles? it would help clear out unwanted structures and vehicles, and it would change up the economy a bit.

I think we all miss #brainstorming, and there really was no good reason to delete it. Channels on a discord server cost absolutely nothing, and removing a very important part of the suggestion process is not worth a "cleaner" discord.
You see it all the time now in #game-feedback-archive - people who post rather heavily downvoted suggestions, mostly because of numbers and tiny little things that overshadow the rest of their idea. If they had a place to discuss their ideas, they might have been able to:
A) Tweak their numbers to be more balanced,
B) Add/remove any 'clauses' that might make the idea more popularly accepted, and
C) Bounce off of other people and reshape their idea entirely into something better.
As it is now, new players especially are put off from using #game-feedback-archive and perhaps even the community entirely thanks to being downvoted into oblivion. Using #foxhole-discussion has shown to be not viable, and is an antiquated idea at best.
We shouldn't sit by and let this slide under the rug! We need to bring this to the attention of anyone who has the power to restore this channel! We will not stand for this backwardsness! We will see #brainstorming again, but only if you show your support!
