Dependencies don't always mean it has to be closed source, Chromium (Google Chrome is a perfect example). Just remove some small things and make the majority of the codebase OSS. That ways, the community can help contribute. You could make it GPL, if you don't want people to do abscond with the code. You don't have to support people trying to set up the bot, let them do it themselves; make it clear that it is unsupported. This would implement feature requests much, much quicker with the world developing instead of several core developers. There's a reason why Linux, Chrome, Python, NodeJS (I think dyno uses this to run since some websites say it uses Eris) are all OSS! Please DM me before deleting this message, so I can discuss it if some parts of the suggestion are unworkable!

What I mean: I've seen a lot of uncached messages that have been deleted. This means that I can't see the content of those messages. The effect on this means that I have to, as a moderator, take the benefit of the doubt that whatever was sent and quickly deleted was not something that is worth sanctioning for, so I don't know anything about the deleted message - just that the message was deleted.
It also takes a long long time for messages to be cached, destroying the point that I enabled viewing deleted messages to see what people were sending. I've considered switching to Rowboat for this very reason.

What I Mean: I have an issue with the autoresponder module. The default behavior and "Wildcard" check box function are different than expected. The explanation on the config website reads, "Auto responder will search for the command anywhere in the message," which to me means by default it looks for the trigger at the start of a sentence only. That is an assumption on my part, but there's a lack of description to the contrary, which caused confusion. Because what it really does is match the full message, and if I want a message starting with a certain word to trigger it, even if it has other words after that trigger, I have to enable Wildcard. I'd say that is either a malfunction or a bad description of how Auto Responder and Wildcard work, and either function or description should be changed. On the wiki I see mention of {*} to reply to everything, and I discovered I can change the trigger from trigger to trigger{*} to get it to behave the way I expect. That seems useful, and like it should be mentioned in the wiki and in the config page variables list.

Request: The ability for moderators to remove AFK messages from a user
What I Mean:: A command like ?afk remove {user} which forcefully clears the AFK of a user. Currently, someone could set their AFK to something against server rules, and unless it is automodded (I assume, and hope), there is nothing a moderator can do about the AFK messages (aside from disabling AFK messages entirely) until the person chats again. If the user is pinged, Dyno will, for the user, consistently bring up the AFK message over and over, while allowing staff no options to prevent dyno from continuing this issue every time the user gets pinged.
For servers that aren't as willing to ban users, this can become quite the problem. As, muting the user, still means that Dyno will still state their AFK every time the person is mentioned.

What I mean: Right now the only way to hold a vote is, like in this channel, reacting to user messages, but this can be problematic since a user can delete a suggestion if they don't like the result or even edit it to change what the vote was originally meant to mean, abusing the votes of the people.
A simple implementation would be just an embed, such as !announce but with 3 reactions, one for upvote, one for downvote and a blank option. Another implementation could be just allowing auto-response to react to Dyno messages or Custom Command responses to react to themselves.
In addition, for a more complete system, a global counter for the suggestions to make it easier to make references to them and even some options for the moderators like .approve, .deny and .consider would make this feature a lot better, closing the gap with other bots in terms of votes.

I would like a way to have everyone be all 16 personality types when they click on begin. Let me explain.
But first a little background on Briggs Personality test, Each question (of 4) are two of the letters of the combination.

- T and F
- J and P
Meaning that 8/16 of the roles will be "Eliminated" after choosing I or E on the 1st Question.
Then on their next 4/8 of the roles will be "Eliminated" upon choosing S or N on the 2nd Question.
Next ~ T and F, there will be 2/4 roles that will be "Eliminated" on the 3rd Question.

What I mean: A suggestion module on the dashboard. You select a suggestion channel, and a channel where people suggest stuff. Then someone types ?suggest epic idea or whatever they want to suggest, and dyno posts it in the suggestion channel in a nice embed, with the suggestion and the @ or the name of the person who suggested the idea. It also posts with ✅ and ❎ reactions so people can vote on the suggestion. If you wanted to make it more complex like carl bot, here are some tings you could do:

?approve {suggestion-id} {reason}and?deny {suggestion-id} {reason}commands. (suggestion id would be posted in the embed.) these commands can be used by admins. Dyno could then edit the message so it says approved/denied, the reason from the admin could also be added underneath,and the left line on the embed could go from like a blue colour to a red or green colour. It could also dm the user who suggested the idea telling them that it had ben approved or denied, and why. - Following on from that, you could select another channel where approved/denied suggestions are posted, so people can see what ideas have been approved or denied without scrolling up for ages.

I have three ideas for the autoresponse function. 1 and 3 is a request i definitly want.

a function to look for more than one word or complete sentence before autoresponse. Example: if dyno need to response on question about commands we can use parameters like "How * Role" for the sentence "How can i change my Role? So our users dont need do write a whole sentence or dyno dont answer on normal chatmessages if the parameters are to short.

a new module for an answer/message tree. The same function like the configurate chat messages of other bots uses just for autoresponse. The owner dont need to create more custom commands to answer questions. Example: [Bot=B][User=U]
U: "Help me [@ Bot]!"
B: Anwers with varios options
U: Choose one of the options
B: answers directly to the request or offer more options for the topic.
U: Answer with something the bot dont have in his tree.
B: has a function to answer like "this question will be answered by someone else soon" and can send a report to an admin or channel.

The command itself would be disabled(by default) in the dashboard , and it can be customized to trigger to either all of the moderation commands, or only to one of them(or more but its up to the staff ). You can also change the message to "hey peeps, check #channel...." and others, including the channel name.
I requested this because many people in our server ask why was the person (something), and others asked about a feature like this. So here i am, wasting 5 minutes to make a great suggestion

What I mean: If you say a word to trigger auto response, for example..."commands". You can set it up so the autoresponder gets triggered, and you have it set to it can DM the person a list of commands. It's fairly similar to "?cc" but less messy, and it could actually show commands that they're able to use. This is just an example, if they set it up correctly. This could help out a lot of servers, to not look only more professional, but also have some dandy things set-up that can be clear to the user using the autoresponse trigger!

I have minimal programming experience, so I know dealing with these sort of things can be intimidating at first. Request: Lock Server & Unlock Server Command
What I Mean: A simple command such as ?lock server or ?lock all that can lock down every channel in a server. This would obviously come with an ?unlock server or ?unlock all command as well. There also could be a command such as ?lock @Role which would lock that role from typing in chat. This is really useful in panic situations when a server is being raided and you need to shutdown all the channels to prevent further damage.

Request: Being able to trigger a single custom command with another custom command
What I mean: I'm aware we can't have our custom commands calling eachother because of infinite loops, but allowing a custom command to call a single other custom command (if the called one tries to call one too, that'd doesn't work) would already help out a lot of people with their ideas, projects and possibilities without the ability to create any loop or whatsoever.
This could also act as a "command alias" function that I have seen people requesting, so a command called "role" could also activate the real command with the name "roles"
It could even be a premium feature with it's own dropdown menu to choose a custom command which your current one calls after it's done

What I mean: when I do a command like ?lock all it locks all the channels. So people can't talk, or even maybe see the channels.

What I mean: Set up a customizable giveaway system that the user can configure via the web interface and members can vote on using reactions. It consists of using Discord's embed. Title can be the giveaway item, optionally linking it to item page. One field can periodically update the time remaining on the giveaway (i.e. "Giveaway ends in 2 Days, 7 Hours, [34 Minutes]"). The footer can detail the exact expiration date of giveaway. This can also be restricted to channels and roles to prevent abuse/spam.

Request: Ignored Roles for Action Logs
What I mean: Just like there's the ignored channels feature for Action Logs where events will not be logged for those channels. This would be for roles. Dyno would ignore the logging for anyone with that Role, including bots. Could possibly avoid spam in the logging channel by bots that sometimes users make or someone else. Also be helpful because sometimes useless bot commands being logged (Message deleted or edited) could be annoying for the staff team because it interferes with their responsibility for what's going in the server

What I mean: Bulk deleted messages being shown in a separate text file or something else instead of "Bulk Delete in (Channel Name), X messages deleted". Being allowed to read what was being said would be highly helpful in some cases, such as a user being banned and the messages are bulk deleted.
