Ship defense droid

So I’m on the Gemini deception level and I have to survive the skytrooper ambush and defeat the ship defense droid but it’s hard because the droid has this big blast it shoots out which attacks me and the skytroopers which I don’t mind for them but I hate how it aims for me and my companion isn’t much use either so what do I do because I don’t have money for better gear I have no clue what to do and can another person help me

you need to avoid the big aoe move

if you turn your companion to "passive" they'll follow you around

the idea being that you hold your companions hand as you walk out of the circle of doom, and wait until its over
