Hey just curious if anyone could help out with this issue.
So I'm trying to play Star Wars: The Old Republic on my Steam Deck (basically through my Steam Account) and keep receiving the error message "We can't log you in. Please double-check you're using the Steam account you usually play on and try again." Yet, when I log in on the official website to unlink any Steam account associated with the game using BioWare’s ‘Steam Unlink’ function, I receive the message, “There is no Steam account linked to your Star Wars™: The Old Republic account.”
I called EA/Bioware/SWTOR directly but was told that they are unable to identify what account is already associated with my Steam account as they do not have any data from Steam. Curiously enough, game works just fine if I boot into Windows 10 on my Steam Deck via microSD card and download and play it on there, though I can't figure out how to get SWICD to work so I'm unable to use the Steam Deck itself as a controller.
Does anyone know if there is any way to check which Steam account is being associated with SWTOR so that I can find it and remove it? I'd legitimately get back into playing this game on a regular basis if I could use the Steam Deck, but even trying to make a new SWTOR account doesn't help resolve the issue at all...
