When i load up the game the texture quality of the clothing/armor is only in the low poly version and not the high quality despite my settings

I've seen a few other people reporting some oddities with textures on armor and elsewhere.
I would suggest making a note of your current graphics settings and the names of the pieces affected. Then submit a report in game via /bug and provide that info.

Suggest submitting a bug report in game (type /bug in the game chat window) with your graphics settings and computer specs.

Hey I may have found a fix for this. Heres what I did
- Go in the search bar and search "dxdiag"
- Wait and click "Save all information", and open that text file
- Control F and find "Dedicated Memory", find the number. For example mine is 128mb
- Navigate to your swtor settings folder (Users, Appdata, Local, SWTOR, swtor, settings)
- Find "client_settings.ini" and open it up in notepad
- Scroll down to "MinspecVramCutoffMB" and change the number to your number above
- Save and exit and open the game.
I can't guarantee that this will work but it worked for me, hopefully BW fixes this bug soon

If you go to your folders, you should see a section called This PC on the left, at the bottom should be your hard drive (in my case its an ssd)

After clicking on whichever it is, scroll down to the users folder, and click on that, select whichever user you use for your pc

after that it should show a lot of folders, find the one called Appdata. If might be a hidden folder.
If thats the case go to the top, find "View" and there should be a section called view hidden folders

Honestly Im not sure how to help on that end
You might need to look into that part yourself
Only advice I can give is either making sure hidden files are enabled, checking other user profiles using the same steps and checking any other hard drives
