#Constant microstutters during combat

During regular gameplay I get constant micro stuttering in combat, I've come back after a long hiatus since 2016 and the game ran fine on an inferior setup back then. I also get microstutters when I open my inventory and/or other UI elements such as the character screen and the stutters happen more often when I pan the camera around. To be more precise, my framerate doesn't dip at all during these stutters, they feel like bad frame timings. The stutter is identical in every type of gameplay as well, Warzones, Operations or just regular story content, my framerate is more than fine and never dips but for some reason it just stutters like mad.

In the fleet with many players on the screen during peak hours my framerate is at a stable 90-100 at high graphical settings yet the stuttering occurs heavily when I pan the camera around and/or walk around and newer players load in, I understand that this is a normal occurrence but the exact same stuttering happens during solo scenarios in areas where I have a stable 144+ framerate.

I have tried the following fixes but none have worked for me so far:

  • Installed DXVK and tried running the game after that.
  • Turned off nameplate scaling
  • Turned off Flytext
  • Tried running the game in windowed, fullscreen and borderless
  • Messed around with the framerate cap both in game and that of my monitor
  • Installed Process Lasso to turn off SMT for the swtor.exe
  • Installed legacy DX9
  • Messed around with V-Sync settings both in game and through Nvidia Control Panel

My System specs are a GTX 2070 Super, AMD Ryzen 3700x and 16GB of RAM running the game on an SSD.

I'm at my wits end, does anyone have some more suggestions for me that I can try out? Thanks in advance and much love.

when you say messed with vsync , it can only be changed in fullscreen mode, in the nvidia control panel set vsync to fast and see if any change
if you have gsync enabled also disable it and see

and you tried 60 refresh & 60/30 frame rates?

#

ditch bloom & shadows too as a maybe, the game is trying to draw too much at once most likely

Yeah I tried that as well, graphical settings have no impact on the issue
