PC got squished after I opened SWTOR for the first time, and the only temporary solution I've found is hooking it up to a monitor.

Just as a heads up so you can potentially get the most help possible, you aren't giving a lot of details to help you with.. some things that might help
- Make/Model and specs of the PC (Processor, graphics card, RAM, OS)
- Have you checked for updates for drivers? Did your OS do an update just before this happened?
- Have you tried rebooting the computer since the issue started (it really does fix a lot of sudden odd issues)

I found out what I need to do, I just don't exactly know how to do it.
SWTOR changed the refresh rate of my PC, and I was able to change it when I had a second monitor and could actually see it, but I found that as soon as I unplugged it from the second monitor (my TV), it changes right back to 144 Hz, which is causing the issues

Are you on WIndows? Which version do you have? Some of these settings differ in location if memory serves in different versions.... alternately you could google How to change Display refresh rate on Windows X (x being the version you have)
