hi there, so i just downloaded the game from the official website and all of the downloads have seemed to finish on the launcher, but when i press play, it doesnt boot the game or anything. Then, when i go to the settings to hit the repair button, it says that i cant press it until patching has completed, or until a error has been detected while patching, but on the home screen of the launcher, it doesnt show any download or patching bars on the bottom!!! 😦

New OS need install the legacy directx files https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35 , sometimes it may need the 2008 C++ as well

sign of missing support package is the play button will dull then light up again

sometimes easier to install via steam, steam will install the missing support packages

#

if not that issue , you can try setting compat mode for say windows xp sp3 or windows 7
