Only Works on a Discord Call!? | SWTOR | Page 1

(both Steam and normal install)

~~Whenever I got to play SWTOR launcher loads up, no problems there. Everything looks great.

Click "Play" and the splash screen appears for a little while and then stops responding then crash to desktop.

The little loading icon in the bottom right corner does not flash and spin like it should.

However:
If I am actively in a Discord call (both parties have to be connected) the game will load and play like nothing is wrong. If I am not on a call or Discord is not running the game will not play and only will CTD after the splash screen sits there for a while.~~

UPDATE

The issue is not Discord at all, it is my external audio device. My sound generally routes through a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 to get to my speakers. If I play on my gaming headset everything works fine, if the audio is going to the KA6 it crashes the game. Even switching from headset to KA6 will crash the game.

Has anyone ever seen this or know of a fix?

I had considered that, but the Steam overlay would have made it work then since it is always on. I'm betting it has something to do with the voice connection. All the ports SWTOR wants open are open in my router, not sure if Steam/Discord are opening different ports when VC initializes or not.
