This error won't let me play the game

When I launched the game a few hours ago the launcher automatically downloaded some sort of patch/update, I don't know exactly what.
Since then I can't play the game cuz this msg box pops up on the character selection screen:

Your current game version does not match the server's, please restart the game. Follow the Help Center link below for more information.

But there's no link available. When I click on the OK button below the message, the game shuts down.

Any information on how to solve this?

Make an update?? The launcher should do it for you. If not, try to repair, redownload etc...?

Yeah, I'll reinstall the game, that should probably fix it. Was trying avoid it cuz it takes so long. Or at least used to.
