Levelling seems a hell of a lot easier than when I last played. If I can complete my remaining class stories without picking up side quests, I would like to

Even as a sub I've usually hit a wall at Quesh when doing just the class story, but you could try

You can also use the free xp boosts and do some fp's, pvp, starfighter, solo spaceship thingy (idk how it's called), in case you don't have the lvl needed. But you should be fine, i did it with my gf recently and i don't think we had to do anything but story

I did that for my sith inquisitor character, it gets increasingly difficult to win fight after level 33. I suggest just doing the story-arcs for each planet you visit, smaller side quests won't be necessary then, plus the story arcs are fun.
