I enter my display name password and security key at the log in and all it gives me is a blue spinning circle. This started after the new maintenace thing they just did.

Have you tried restarting your computer? The maintenance they did was just backend server stuff. They didn't update the game or client in anyway, so it shouldn't have affected you.

I’m having this issue as well, I just started using a new computer but that has been the only change, checked all my firewall stuff tried running as admin etc

try leaving the key blank and see if it prompts for the key
