I think it's really good: the text makes me want to know more about what's in the video cause chess with guns isn't exactly a group of words I'd expect to see, the stick figure makes it easily recognizable as a video of yours since most of your "decent stuff" videos feature him in the thumbnail too, and seeing a chess piece with armor and a gun is so weird I want to know more about in what situation a chess piece ends up kitted out looking ready for a modern battle. The only thing a little weird to me is that "with" isn't also capitalized. Maybe see if you like the thumbnail any more/less with all words capitalized or all entirely upper case? Also you're already hitting all of the sections in his guide but if you want to see a pretty good guide on what makes a thumbnail extra good search up Jay Alto and you can get a free guide to help you think about your thumbnails for free.

I think the thumbnail is overall really good, especially given that the idea is really catchy. I like the text and the guy. I'd be curious to hear about the actual content of the video, because you would want to ideally include something relating to the actual content so that the viewers that would click would be the type to watch your video. Additionally, I think it's a little overcrowded with the chess pieces on the left, so I'd recommend removing those to have an uninterrupted background draw the eye of potential viewers.

Like the others I really like the thumbnail 🙂 I would probably remove one element, for example the drawn figurestick or the chess pieces on the left

the video is about modernizing chess pieces so technically the thumbnail is mild clickbait but im going to title the video 'modernizing chess pieces' so that should take care of it

updated it, capitalized with, got rid of the chess pieces on the left, and made everything bigger
