#Are long or short videos better for my channel?

And to answer your question, youtube will recommend your video if people like it, its not like how it was many years ago where you had to have a bunch of subscribers. Nowadays they will give small channels a shot. I know because I even see videos with 10-50 views on my feed now
Either way, the most important thing is creating content that people enjoy. If people dont stay to watch, youtube wont continue recommending it
Which ever is better comes down to what you want to do.
your longform and short performed about the same.
Short views are inflated 150 to 1 compared to longform so that 1k shorts is like 7 longform views.
I've noticed more channels with some success around the 20-30 minute mark. Anything too long (at least for me) has a tendency to have me click off the video for something that isn't an hour + long in length.
I like shorts for the freedom it gives to take a break from big form video. Sometimes some of my ideas cannot land in my long form videos, so i squeeze them into shorts 👍
It just give this space of if you fail, not a big deal compared to longform where it hurts more if you're not successfull.
