What: Storytime type video

Type of Feedback: Looking for allover feedback but I'm worried most that this storytime video doesn't have enough visual effects to keep the viewer retained for the whole video.

Specifics:

  • I've added transitions, zoom, text, gifs, and sound effects to try and keep the viewer engaged while I talk for 13min but I'm worried it might not be enough. This is a more serious video so I don't want to overdo it with the effects and conflict with the story.

  • I think the title is ok but I'm worried it might be too long

-Any other feedback is very much welcome!

In trying so hard not to lose them, I didn’t see how much I was losing myself.

This episode of Stories the Shape Us is about the kind of love that chips away at you. Slowly, quietly, until you barely recognize who you are. I share my story of holding on too tightly, what it cost me, and the hard lesson that sometimes letting go is what saves ...

hey it all looks awesome visually! the only thing I can think of, is maybe more "gradual zooms", and then faster for emphasis. for example, set it to zoom very slowly while speaking, and then when miranda comes in, a zoom and some small effects 🙂

I am likely not the target audience for this content - but I did find that Miranda being AI threw me off a little. I think it would definitely benefit from having another same-genre creator to talk to, or even just doing the other character yourself?? just a personal opinion though 🙂

I’m not the target audience either, but I think a more concise title might help.

Your transitions and pacing are great, though I suspect people experience this content more like a podcast than a visual piece. Focusing on packaging for that audience could go a long way. Maybe use a thumbnail with your VTuber and a mic, and a title that clearly tells your story, like “How Love Broke This Elder Millennial” (just an idea).

You might also consider uploading to Apple Podcasts or Spotify, and looking into audio psychology to make it an even smoother listen.

Hope this helps! Feedback in this space is always tough; it’s the “I don’t know what I don’t know” zone. Wishing you success in however you’re measuring it! 💚
