I hate the basic clickbait minecraft thumbnails that aren't even takeing in the game they just look plasticy and like they are made 100% for someone who hasn't hit puberty so this is the thumbnail i came up with it's for ep 1 of me playing on a new server im not really sure how good it looks, so if there is anything you guys think looks good or bad or something you would change lmk, or if you would click i mean say that too..

When asking about thumbnail advice you should also include the video's title.

However, I'm positive it's not just about the episode 1 in the corner.

The thumbnail doesn't tell me anything about the video, aside from it being about Minecraft. And there are probably millions of Minecraft videos that get uploaded each single day.

A thumbnail should spark curiosity and show what the video is about. Yours does neither.

i gotta be honest your comment is really fuckin rude to be honest its helpful sure but the way you phrase it is rude asf and you don't actually add a whole lot other then saying that it dosen't tell you much about the video

The thumbnail is clickbait although i would use red or yellow color of text in this case i would use red with comica axis font but its great!

To be completely honest and blunt with you, your thumbnail fails to hit some of your insulting anti-criteria based on other creators.

Less subtle disclaimer: Yes I am blunt. No I am not attacking you. My advice is actionable and not just "dis bad".

  • Episode 1 in the corner - first of all, people won't care much. Second of all, the video timestamp (the thing showing you how long a video is) will cover it, making it functionally useless.
  • The text and assets are going to be unreadable on most displays. Use https://thumbsup.tv/ to visualise how your thumbnail may appear on YouTube.
  • Almost 1/3 of the thumbnail is the side of a non-descript player skin standing with a sword. This doesn't communicate much to me about the video at all.
  • The background image is high FOV. This makes things hard to see at smaller scales. See my point about text.
  • Overall, all this communicates (pretending that it's readable and visible) is that you are playing minecraft and bump into a skeleton. Not very thought provoking.
  • No title was provided so I can't say much else packaging wise.
