(is this even interesting?) New to YouTube in 2025 | 1 Year, 1k Subs Later

So, I wanted to make a video talking about the ups and downs of being on YouTube for a year and finally hitting 1k subs. I'm curious about:

• Of course, does my thumbnail suck lol
• Usually I edit my videos way more, and have tons of b-roll, but I kept this one more raw... is it boring and/or not engaging enough?
• Is the actual substance of the video even... worth watching for?

There are a couple of editing mistakes, and an audio F-up I'll be fixing in the actual upload for tomorrow just can't be bothered to do it for this feedback post lol. I'm more curious about the substance of the video in general.

• Yes - it's the same as your title basically. Background isn't relating to the content. Hard to read text, etc.
• Your audio is on point, and the editing is good. However, your intro didn't hook me in. I didn't really know where this video was going and it lost me very quickly
• To be honest, not really. I mean sure, you can post it, but I'm pretty sure it's going to struggle. There are thousands of similar videos like this. But the biggest question is, what value am I getting from this?

These update videos were popular many many years ago, however, now it's less important as views carry more weight than your subs. If you see other similar channels, these videos are becoming more and more rare.

But I can see you've put a lot of effort into this, so might as well post it. Just my opinion, and I hope it does well regardless. This is just my own opinion so I could be totally wrong

Probably will condense it and won't do another one like this, at least on the growth topic. Felt weird filming and what you're saying is probably why.
Definitely don't expect it to break a thousand views if I do publish it.

yeah sorry to be blunt, but my aim is to help channels put out quality content. Your channel is closer to audio content, so this one out of the blue will really confuse the algorithm

Lol no that's what I wanted! That's why I asked. I had the same thought. I am going to pivot away from audio gear videos, but this is probably not the way to do it
