#I need as much feedback and criticism as possible

Hello InkyTrain. First and formost I know it's hard putting yourself out there when it comes to criticism so everything I say will be as productive and professional as possible

I think the main issue I'm running into with this video is that the audio mixing is a little rough. I think you're voice should be louder and more confident so that I'm engaged in what you're doing. Now you do get more and more confident as the video continues so I think it's just something that comes with time. But as for the audio mixing itself, you should at least make youself louder than your music.

The other issue is with overexplanation. With a video essay like this it's very good to go in to clear detail on what you're doing and I think you do that quite well. But there are some moments where I feel like you explain something that seems unnecessary. Like the example I think with this video is you bring up how blue pikmin are the only ones who can't drown at around the 18 minute mark. It doesn't make sense for you to explain this now because theoretically whoever is watching this likes pikmin enough to know the basics. And even if you wanted to explain this, you probably should have covered it in the beggining in a preamble.

Otherwise I think the footage you have is really solid. The music choices are good but a little busy. But that's more of a personal nitpick rather than a valid criticism.

I also don't know if this is just because the video is unlisted but I also think you should add a description and adding tags are super helpful.

And my final recomendation would be to change the title to "What's the actual lowest amount of pikmin you need to beat pikmin 3" Because you discuss another video at the beggining of the video and how most people in the pikmin community think its 42. Which gets people interested in like "oh hey, this guy thinks he can beat 42, lets see it"

I hope this was helpful, and let me know if there's anything I can clear up

Also what do you mean by the music choices being busy?

well so when your making a video essay, I usually like it when the music is lowkey and doesn't have alot of instruments going for it. Especially at times when not alot is happening. That way you can more focus on the words your hearing and the music is more of like the cherry on top. Alot of the music you have is very high energy and bombastic, and I think it'll be fine when you have it that your louder than the music, but from the unlisted video you sent it's like trying to discern your voice from a crowd. If that makes sense

@real marsh should I add chapters or is it better to leave them out?

Yeah, I think chapters would help the flow and pacing of it
