Which thumbnail works best for Millennials?

So part of my personal thumbnail philosophy is not to repeat the title in the thumbnail and vice versa, which is why I scrapped the ideas I was originally going to send here

For that reason thumbnail #2 is my least favourite

Yeah, this is my biggest issue at the moment, trying to not duplicate the title in the thumbnail.

I think 3 is your strongest, and 1 is a good follow up, I think the heavy blue tint on the left makes the image somewhat unreadable so maybe lower the opacity if it's just a color gradient
