If you have the equipment for it, I would consider different angles, zooms, and other editing transitions to keep your audience captivated. Everyone's attention span has gone out the window since 2016 so it's hard to fight for those extra minutes. Get creative with it! : )
Ok give me a moment
Right now I'm going to pick your last three videos and do a quick (very quick) check.\
Disclaimer:
Keep in mind I am ALSO a tiny tuber who is ALSO asking for advice so... D:
I HAVE NO IDEA IF ANYTHING I SAY WITH CONFIDENCE IS THE COMPLETE, CORRECT ANSWER.
Please feel free to disagree or correct me! I'm here to learn too!*
✅: No comment! Acceptable!
☑️: Acceptable, maybe you can improve this but really it's ok as is as well
❌: I have a biased opinion on how you could make changes here
⚪ : Not Applicable

❌ ----- HD quality offered (Is 1080 HD offered? This is non essential but nice to have)
✅ ----- Audio clarity (Is the audio crisp enough to note different sounds apart and clearly understand words?)
☑️ ----- Lighting (Is the room's lighting balanced? Ie no white-outs, over exposures, zero-data noise)
☑️ ----- Camera work (Is the camera work clean, interesting, and consistent? If still, is the subject in frame)
❌ ----- Sound levels (Do your ears bleed? Is it too quiet? Perhaps both?)
✅ ----- Background noise (Is there notable noise or distracting background noises that aren't intended or part of the video)
❌ ----- Editing Style (Is there a consistent editing style? Does it add to the video without distracting?)
✅ ----- Transitions (Are transitions smooth and appropriate?)
☑️ ----- Pacing (Is the pacing of the video comfortable and engaging?)
✅ ----- Use of Effects/Graphics (Are any effects and graphics used effectively to enhance the video?)
+-+-+-+ENTERTAINMENT QUALITY+-+-+-+

☑️ ----- Energy (Does the presenter bring sufficient energy to keep the audience engaged?)
❌ ----- Audience Retention (Does the video keep the viewer's attention throughout?)
0:25 ----- Time You "Lost me" at
❌ ----- The Hook (Is the first 5-10 seconds hooking the audience?)
☑️ ----- The Intro (Is there a quick intro that preps the audience that doesn't go longer than 30 sec?)

So I lied. I said I'd go over three of your videos but the sisues were super clear in the first! So I thought I'd settle and help you here.

- Ok so this is the "easier" stuff to work on, except of course editing.
- first, your video is in a 1080 HD render BUT it's not actually the expected 1080HD "quality"
- Even if a video had 1080 resolution doesn't mean it was rendered in 1080 HD, this could either be a physical limitation you're dealing with (such as bad cameras, focus issues, etc, which sucks, and I'm sorry if this is the case) or a render/encoding issue on your video editor. Make sure to render/encode in 1080 not just that the aspect ratio is right!
- Your audio was automatically adjusted by YT. Youtube will forcebly adjust audio it sees as having a problem, and Youtube says your audio is -8.9 too quiet. YT is right, I had to max your out to hear but THEN the audio jumped and got too loud! Normalize your audio a tad and this should be fixed!
- No editing (in the first bit, there are edits, they are really misplaced skips where some mistakes stay and some don't), no showing the screen you reference, no showing the subreddit either makes for a boring video. We need to see what we're reacting to to feel like we're reacting with you!

☑️ ----- Pacing
☑️ ----- Presenter Delivery
☑️ ----- Energy
❌ ----- Audience Retention
❌ ----- The Hook
☑️ ----- The Intro
- Ok, I have a few rougher comments to make, that I'm going to do in a moment. First let me address the more... "clincial" side of this
- Your pacing is off, very slow as if you know this is going to be unedited and youre being careful to not make mistakes. Dont be. Rush even a little if it tets your pace up and let yourself make mistakes! If this is an unedited theme of yours, you will bore your audience in waiting for the next word of a line we can't see on teh screen. let yourself make mistakes! Make as many as you need~ No stress!
- Hook and intro time! You didn't have a hook, and your intro was a bit rough. Short, snappy, to the pont tell them exactly what the video is about and make it sound good! If you have an entertaining personality, just describing the topic will be entertaining. If not, useing editing can save an otherwise bad intro by making it shorter and more distinct. As for hooks, really nail the first 3-5 seconds! Really really nail it! This is the most important decider.
- To go a bit more here, your hook cannot be a channel ad. No one has seen your video to think to subscribe yet. No one know anything about it and advertizing comes off as gimicky and immoral so quickly.
- OK now the rougher stuff
Sorry I just realized it never uploaded…?
The post failed to send
Basically what I said is that you two have great thoughts and vibe very well with each other
But your energies, pace, and delivery styles are a bit different. So I’d lean way more into editing which sucksss but I think it’ll help make the flow a lot between between you too
@jade geode holy crap that was so insightful and it wasn't even for me 😂
any way you could do that for me at some point?
Thank you so much! Sure, post in feedback and ping me! I’ll swing by when I see it and have a chance!
THANK YOU SO MUCH I WILL
