Which thumbnail would you click on and how would you improve them

Personally? The second one (never returned) because the Lost one is a bit too much going on. But maybe if the lost one had less going on (like grey-scaling the two pictures on the sides, it would be better. Maybe get rid of the question mark too (since then it begs a question which the answer is an obvious no, because youre watching a video about it so its not lost)

I dont think I would click on a video about the drink hat guy personally, but i might click on a video about Squidward-Unaliving creepypasta if it looked well made/interesting

Yeah I agree with @warm hollow , take the second one, darken the background a bit, and just write 2 words with an arrow pointed to the face
