I recently made a video essay on Dune, it's titled:

"How Dune PERFECTED The Lost Art of SILENCE"

I think I've put together a pretty decent video, I know the audio isn't the best, but it's all I can achieve with my current setup.

My main problem is Im unsure of this intro with the screen visual thingy I put together at the start of the video.

While I think it's neat, I almost feel like the movie clips at the start, starting at (1:00) are a more effective intro.

Or just going straight into the chapter 1: A Silent Soundscape title card? As I think the intro of that when the music comes in is engaging.

Really unsure 😭

A Dune video essay on the dune film series many subtle and brilliant ways of utilizing silence, thoroughly detailing examples in dune part one and dune part two. And how by doing so Dune accomplishes an astronomical cinematic achievement that stands to usher in a new era of cinema.

Here i analyze all the methodologies used to achieve this uni...

I think the intro is very cool but I think the part from 1:00 is in my opinion criticism that I wouldn't put in a video without expanding more on it as soon as I say it
Now, I haven't seen the whole video but I imagine you went back to those points and talked more about them and depending on how you've done that I would just leave that and maybe remove the earlier section
Sorry if it sounds like nitpicking but it's the only thing I would personally change, to be honest it would still work without doing any changes

Thank you so much for the comment. I don't refer back to those movies. I put them there as examples of loud movies, I had that section actually placed at the end of the video, but I thought it was engaging so I moved it to the front, but I realize now it kind of pollutes the intro, it's almost like i have 2 intro sections.

So you're saying the 'film screen' bit is actually better, and I should just clip the 1:00 onwards section?
