WOULD You Click On This Thumbnail??
Why is every other post expect mine getting replies? Did I do something wrong?
I'm really sorry if I did something to offend everyone but idk what I did, pls tell me anyone
I haven't seen much from you so not sure if you've put your foot in your mouth tbh, but a lot of time folks gravitate toward giving feedback about topics they know well, or feedback that's "easy" (aka, "I can't read your font"). It's possible that not a lot of people here (me included) are really into anime style web series, and don't feel like they have valuable input to give you.
The aesthetic is fine, the font is readable and the thumbnail isn't super busy or obnoxious - but would I click? Not really, I'm just not yoru target audience. I don't know what the standard is for your niche, and lots of folks probably don't either. Don't feel discouraged if you're not getting many responses!
Ask yourself "would this look nice among the usual thumbnails in the niche", and I think if the answer is yes, you're good to go.
That does makes a lot of sense. Thank you for your response!
Best of luck!
Thank you 😁
I would have never guessed that this was an animated web series from the thumbnail. something about it makes it seem like its a screenshot of an unpopular game.
also, could you post a link to the video itself? (i can't seem to find it on youtube's search)
Sure thing: https://youtu.be/Mlv8l2psTYI?si=rqyIrVlmwz7sxRhV
This is a re upload of episode 4. This version fixes some glitches and is re arranged a bit in the beggining as to avoid being flagged by YouTube. The original version of Episode 4 had some pretty bad audio issues in the beggining, and that was severely hurting the average view duration. People on average were only watching up to 49 seconds out ...
(this is a remastered version of the episode with a slightly different thumbnail)
Ok I watched a good chunk of it. and I have a few things to say:
right off the bat. no seizure warning when there are flashes of light (not good)
loud sound effects out of nowhere make people click away FAST (not good)
voice acting is inconsistent (understandable, because its probably you and your friends/people from Casting Call Club)
the woman with the gun sounds like she's an AI voice (not good)
the music in the background is louder then the people talking (VERY BAD)
the animation itself needs a lot of work (understandable)
with the skills/people you currently have I'd recommend you try to make this story in a manga style instead of 3D (drawn pictures with text that are voice acted)
I can clearly see the passion in this project you have however you do not possess the recourses to make a 3D animation that would make people stick around and watch the whole thing.
Thank you for your feedback! Everything you mentioned in the beginning with definitely be improved in the next episode. As for the animation, it is actually only me doing all of it (while balancing school on the side) and I was thinking of doing this in a manga style when first staring this since I do have experience in making videos like that on an old channel I had, but my art isn't that good so I'm not sure if that'd make things worse or better
