#Is this video Clickable?
8 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
At the time of typing, I explicitly HAVEN'T clicked on it so I can judge only by the thumbnail and title.
I probably wouldn't click on this because I don't know who you are. I don't really watch storytime stuff in general, and so my interest isn't really piqued.
The thumbnail text is also a bit in theory good, and it synergizes well with your title, but I don't know if it synergizes well with the video yet.
After opening and skimming the video, I notice a few things:
- it is unscripted
Looking at the title and thumbnail I was expecting a more heavily scripted and edited experience with tight pacing. If I had clicked on this video I probably would have clicked off soon after just for that.
- it feels like this video is made for your already existing subscribers.
When I clicked on that video the first thing I saw was the intro, and the second thing I saw was you talking to your community. The third thing was that you mentioned this video would be slightly different from your usual fare. I, as a new viewer, don't know what your usual fare is.
Basically, I think I'm seeing a title/thumbnail mismatch vs. the video. When I see the title/thumbnail combo my first thought is "oh, this will be a scripted video of maybe 15 minutes where someone tells their story and hopefully makes a point." You do tell your story and you do hopefully make a point (I didn't go all the way through) but I see the shorter length and unscripted format and end up losing engagement.
ill work on it
You've got this
This is decent as far as title/thumb is concerned, but with the background being minecraft, I was expecting like, a minecraft story. Not your actual story
Maybe make the background of your thumb a hospital room and show the vitals or something
But yeah, as Santa said, try to make a fully scripted version and see how it goes.
