Hi! I'm looking for criticism of all kinds on my latest video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tVp7xbixJ0

Today, @Azza_Mazza_Bazza and I played the HILARIOUS game, Lethal Company. Watch the funniest moments of nearly 3 hours of gameplay!
This was a very fun video to make so please show it some love!

So just a couple small generic things first:

  1. chapters/titled clips aren't really needed for gaming videos, they don't really add anything. VidIQ thinks they make the video better (I assume this is why you've added them) but its wrong
  2. the music at the start was very energetic at times, imo it was too much. Its also not balanced well. A good rule of thumb is to have your voice be the loudest, then your friends audio/the game audio, and then any music. Here, Adam is so quiet that you actually need the subtitles to know what he's saying. The best case for background music is if the viewer doesn't actively notice it, but it still pulls them along into the emotion you want.
  3. Your outro vocals were very abrupt, it almost felt like you wanted me to leave, the J-Cut didn't work with the outro either imo
  4. 'subscribe please!' isn't a great look, you don't want to beg people to subscribe.
  5. Call To Action should be in the middle of the video, not right at the start. If you open a video and they immediately tell you to subscribe, it's a bit of a turn off

The major two bits of feedback I'd give are that the subtitling and editing need work

#

For subtitling, you've basically only subtitled Adam, not yourself. This comes across a bit odd.
Next, the yellow/white text on solid black box background us reminiscent of the subtitles you get in TV shows, where subtitles are really just for accessibility, not of a piece of work where subtitles are a part of the presentation. Look at how Smii7y, Marley, and SovietWomble do subtitles to see what I mean.

A lil pedantry from me too:

  1. spellcheck, there were a few spelling mistakes in places.
  2. subtitling an action uses asterisks, e.g. hits Adam with sign
  3. subtitling a word that wasn't said uses square brackets, e.g. I hit adam with a [stop] sign
