This is for a Jamaican Traditional Rum Cake video. Usually baked and eaten around this festive season. Any criticism is welcomed.

Its a nice picture but if you wanted to use just the cake as the thumbnail without any text I wouldn't have taken that angle or this close ( front more towards camera instead). I've also done a quick something to try and fix it a little in 5 min. ( which you probably shouldn't use anyway because its far from perfect, but its an example of how you could draw a little more attention to it)

Actually probably move the last 2 words more to the right to be more readable but at this point I’m in bed

I don't think the text here is a great idea
Not only is it hard to read with this font and color, but if jamaican rum cake is in the title, you'd be repeating yourself which is a waste of real estate

Maybe change the text to say something like "the best holiday cake ever?" so that it gives a bit of intrigue and doesn't repeat the title!

I disagree with both of these statements. For a cooking video its not about clickbaiting something, its about making it clear as quickly as possible what the recipe is
