I always have a 65%ish dip at the intro of most my videos, then a steady 30-40% retention until the end.
I've tried many different types of intros but it's always the same.
With my 3 most recent videos, I solidified an intro format I really like. Can I get some thoughts and feedback on it? Should I feel good for a 35% average retention? I get a constant but small drip of impressions for most my videos.

Two of my vids are "here's 5 hidden gem mech games on the PS2" and in the vid, I list 5 hidden gem mech games on the PS2. I think some YouTube viewers are dumb or just have dyslexia tbh lol.

After watching a few, especially the new ones, I'd cut out the "High I'm X" as well as the RNG wheel bit as it's not really what they came for. OFC I can't see the retention on individual videos to see where exactly ppl are clicking off but that's the impression I get when watching them

I'll give it a go. Thx! The idea is to have a few pulls to keep watching, but it I'm struggling to think of something better. Or how to even make the series idea more interesting than just the idea of it.
Did you drop that series? How'd you find doing it?

Early on I didn't get many views but my most recent entry is at 2k rn
Hopefully with my new style that I used for similar videos I can get decent views going forward

Mostly depends on the anime itself and whatever references I can use as shorthand
For my new most popular video it was just "Goblin Slayer 1.5" With a semi-graphic scene, as goblin slayer made a big stink in the media with it's first episode's graphic content
So since I could easily communicate what it was it helped it to do well
