Shorts are strange they seem to be hit or miss. I still have no idea why this is the case. However the shorter the video seems to get more views because people don't have a chance to click off. My six second video got 2100 views whereas the longer the video people seem to click off so it doesn't register it.
However if you have a 6-second one people usually don't click off right away or they end up watching it two or three times because it's so short they might not even have a chance to click off and they've already watched it twice. Might be a good way to game the system if you know what you're doing.
My suggestion would be to go back and look at your analytics and if you're watch time is like over a hundred percent that means people are watching it multiple times.
If that's the case then I do believe that the length of your video is helping a lot and getting those views
