This is my first attempt at a solo Photoshop thumbnail, and I'm looking for some feedback on whether or not it might need to pop out a bit more.

Tbh, not really. I assume this is from a video game?
The coloring is very bland and dark-ish. There is nothing to suggest what this is about other than that it's something video game-related. And there are no borders or anything else to structure the content of the thumbnail at all. I hope this helped?

I think a background behind the text could help

#

Semi transparent background so that it doesn't block the background image

Make Calamity a bigger font or highlight it in some other way
