If the style of the game logo is more recognizable by a wide audience then I'd choose the first, but especially if it's a relatively unknown game, then go with the second one. The first thumbnail communicates a demon being summoned, but the second one communicates that in the game you probably are playing as a priest trying to fight demons (or at least that's what I've gathered as someone with 0 prior knowledge of the game)
