Honestly? Not very good

You’re approaching the concept of Darkoath listbuilding incorrectly

#

It’s a horde attrition army that grinds people down by weight of mortals and recursion

#

The units that deal mortals are Marauders (on death), Wilderfiends (when other stuff dies), and Savagers (with their attacks)

#

This list has no Savagers and no Wilderfiends

#

And not enough Darkoath Heroes to make the revive reliable

#

If you want a pure Darkoath list that can compete, it should look more like this

And honestly, swapping 10 of those Fellriders and some odds and ends for the Helsmiths RoR is likely just better

@unkempt apex Thanks for the help. Darkoath would be a casual long term list I build over time. I've not used an massive army before when playing 40K, and my main army I am building is Chaos warriors and knights.

For a swarm list, how would you take advantage of their quanitity to effectively use the swarm potential

So the way that list plays is that the Marauders move onto objectives aggressively while screening the Chieftain/Savagers/Wilderfiends

#

They get charged and die, they do mortals on death and charge up the Wilderfiend’s ability

#

On your turn, you use the Wilderfiend’s ability to shoot mortal damage lasers or shut off commands, whichever matters more

#

Then you pledge the Savagers to Khorne and charge your opponent back

#

And throw a bunch of dice with crit mortal on them

#

Between those 3 things you should be doing enough damage to kill things

On the list, is there a particular reason some of the units are reinforced, and some are not

Savagers can’t be reinforced so you don’t do it

#

Marauders are generally reinforced for maximum control score purposes

#

Main Fellriders have the banner so they have to be reinforced for staying power purposes

#

The other Fellriders mostly exist to score points so MSU is fine

So if I am understanding correctly, the infantry are fodder to buff the fiends

And you treat them like expendables for the characters and beasts?

The Marauders and the MSU Fellriders are 100% expendable

#

They are there to score points and die

#

The Savagers are semi expendable

#

You want them to hit something before they inevitably die

#

Same for the Wilderfiends and the reinforced Fellriders

#

The Heroes are the thing you’re kinda mad if it dies, because every Hero that dies makes your strategy more difficult to execute

It’s fun for your opponent because he just gets to mow down all your dorks

#

It can be complicated for you because you have to execute the gameplan at a high level to win

#

If you don’t care if you lose all the time, it’s less stressful
